Larose Forest trail reports
All your trails are groomed. Fyi some deep moose tracks on Moose trail. – Nick
Eastern trails are groomed. Moose, 10-11 and rollercoaster have many low branches. – Nick
Western trails are groomed. – Nick
Western trails were mostly groomed last night. (Thanks guys! – that was much easier!) Eastern trails are still in reasonable shape for sledding with a solid base and about 5-7 cm of fresh snow from Friday, but lots of teams have been though to pack it down. Early this morning…
We rolled the snow on western trails yesterday and groomed eastern trails today. We will groom western trails again tomorrow. – Nick
Trails still in excellent shape, but there is a bare spot and thin snow coverage on the swamp trail just as you enter the forest near Gun Club. Hopefully tonight’s snowfall will help fix that for next week.
Trails in excellent condition – hard and fast. Very little debris on the trails. If you didn’t get a chance to go out today then you should definitely go tomorrow – Terry
Watch out for the edges, I went super wide with the grooming and they might be soft. You should have 9 feet wide trails almost everywhere. – Nick
Western trails are groomed and by 14:00 eastern will also be groomed. You should notice a difference! – Nick
Despite the 2-3cm of snow earlier in the week, the trails were quite skiable this evening. Mostly went on the eastern trails and the skiing was good. Swamp is a little softer and slower with a bit of wind blown snow on the trail, but nothing terrible. Seb
