Mush Larose is an association of dog-sledders and skijorers based in the Larose Forest, Limoges, Ontario. The Larose Forest is a multi-use community forest on the outskirts of Limoges approximately a 20 minute drive east of the city of Ottawa. With the cooperation of the county of Prescott-Russell Mush Larose members have enjoyed exclusive use of part of the Larose trail network over many winters.

Logging activity has begun closing off the east part of Tower Loop for our safety. Nick has groomed the trail across the middle of the loop, so that we can still have a 1/2 sized loop for now. When the logging moves into the rest of the loop the trail will be closed…
Unfortunately, the COVID limit for outdoor activities is now 10 people until at least Jan 26th. This means that all organized events are postponed until further notice: including Training Days, the Poker Run, the January Night Run and the Race for Rescue. Forestry says the Larose Forest trails remain open for individual dog sledding and skijor despite the Stay at Home order. Ontario is still listing dog sledding as an acceptable activity as long as the facility remains open. We will keep you posted on any developments as they arise. The club advises that…

I regret to inform you that Mr. Weather has not been cooperative for our dryland race tomorrow, so the race will be postponed until Sunday, December 6th, 2020.
