We went down to Gun Club and Tower Loop today. The trails were in reasonable shape considering the thaw and low snowpack. There was some gravel mixed with the snow on Concession 10 and on the the skidoo trail towards 10/11. On Gun Club, the lumpy bits coming off the swamp at both ends are now exposed pin needles and some sand. South side is fine, but north side is a bit rough on the runners. Not a great choice for skijoring. Tower Loop, Moose, 10/11 and Concession 11 were in excellent shape, as I expect all the trails off Concession 11 would probably be for now. Unfortunately, Tuesday’s weather is not promising. Let’s hope it turns to snow instead of rain or I might just be staying home and playing with puppies next weekend. – Dana
