Ran at Larose this afternoon, thinking it would be messy, but my dogs needed to get out. Though the trails would not have been good for skijoring, they were really quite good for sledding. Thin hard base with 2 cm crusty snow on top; not at all icy (as I had been expecting). I avoided First as there were too many footprints, but Bypass, 4th, Ditches, JGL, End Loop and Malamute Loop were all snow covered and decent running. A very small grassyish patch on ByPass, but not a problem. There has been truck and/or ATV traffic on Concession 11, but it wasn’t bad to run on either. Fully snow covered. If you have a sled, get out and enjoy it tomorrow.
