The mild weather last week followed by the deep freeze on Saturday night has not been kind to our trails. I skijored on End Loop and Malamute Loop this afternoon, accessing the trails from the Cheney side of the forest. The loops themselves were icy, hard and fast and then you had to really slow down for the corners. The short piece of Concession 11 between the loops was rough and there were deep ruts at the southern entrance to Malamute. Hopefully Nick can clean things up a little this week until the next meltdown/freeze-up cycle – Terry
