Trail Maintenance Day

Trail maintenance day is almost here! We need to clear trees and cut back bush on our trails to prepare for the fall and winter seasons. The quality of our fall trails depends on all of us! Please bring: your enjoyment of time in the bush, appropriate clothing for hiking in the bush for several hours, and your physical distancing skills. We will send small groups of 2-3 max so it should be easy to keep 6 feet apart. We will provide sanitizer for those borrowing tools; and drinks and pre-packaged snacks. Any of the following equipment would be very helpful: trimmers, axe, brush cutters, weed wacker, hedge trimmers, chainsaw (if you have experience). If you have an ATV, tractor with backhoe, bush hog or any other high-end equipment that could be useful, please include that info in your RSVP so we can plan appropriately.
If you can’t come that day, but would still like to help out, we would be happy to define a task with you, and maybe pair you up with someone on the day of your choice, just let us know so we can coordinate it.It’s a fun day in the bush re-acquainting yourself with your winter buddies and meeting some new ones. Many hands make for light work and great fall/winter trail conditions.
If you are willing to be on a trail maintenance list for emergencies throughout the season, especially if you live close to the forest, please respond to Seb at the email address above
