Guelph Lake Race
February 25, 2017 - February 26, 2017
Welcome to the exciting world of sled dog racing! Whether you are an experienced musher, a novice or are simply interested in watching the spectacle of sled dog racing, then the Guelph Lake Sled Dog Race is the perfect event for you. The inaugural Guelph Lake Sled Dog Race (GLSDR) is taking place on the 25th and 26th February 2017. The location for this exciting event is the beautiful Guelph Lake Conservation Area, just outside the historic town of Guelph in southern Ontario.
If you haven’t been to a sled dog event before, this is the perfect opportunity. You’ll get to meet the dogs, talk to the mushers and watch the action, as dogs and their mushers compete in various races and events. You’ll get to see sled dogs in their natural element, as they excitedly race round the track.
There will be various races and events, ski-joring, a four mile sled race, a six mile sled race and, for the novice mushers, a two mile race. There will even be a Kid & Mutt event, perfect for the younger mushers in your family!
Public admission is free, parking at Guelph Lake is $10 per vehicle.
